Have you tried Ukrainian varenyky yet? 🥟🇺🇦

These handmade dumplings are a much-loved Ukrainian classic — soft dough filled with creamy mashed potato and carefully sealed by hand.

You can enjoy our dumplings traditionally with sour cream and dill, or try them with our signature green sauce for the Sweet Bramble twist.

One year of Sweet Bramble!

Today, we’re celebrating one year of Sweet Bramble and I can hardly believe how quickly this year has gone.

Opening a café was a big decision and, honestly, it wasn’t an easy one. With the support of our Ukrainian community and our British friends, my little dream became a reality.

Running a family café in a new country comes with plenty of challenges. Every day brings something new to learn, solve and overcome. But I’m incredibly grateful for everything this first year has taught me and for the experience that has come with it.

And then there’s you — our guests♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for coming in for breakfast and lunch, for trying our crepes and telling us they’re the best in Trowbridge🥹, for falling in love with our desserts, and for supporting and sharing Ukrainian cuisine with your friends and family🇺🇦🇬🇧

Thank you for every kind word, every recommendation, every positive review and every little message of encouragement.

There have been many difficult days, but hearing your words of support and seeing you come back again and again gives me so much motivation to keep going.

Sweet Bramble is one today because you chose to be part of its story.

On 6 September, we’re celebrating 🎉one year of Sweet Bramble — our little family-run café in the heart of Trowbridge.

Over the past year, we’ve filled our kitchen with homemade breakfasts, brunches, lunches, Ukrainian and British favourites, fresh crepes, and plenty of handmade desserts.

And behind it all is our founder and Ukrainian MasterChef finalist, Iryna Malenko, bringing her recipes, ideas and a little piece of home to Trowbridge.
