We are a family-run Brewpub with a huge selection of craft beers in the heart of Totnes - we also run The Barrel House Ballrrom grass roots music venue on the first floor. The Totnes Brewing Company has been brewing since July 2014 and was originally conceived to help support the music venue upstairs. It is now a thriving brewpub sat at the foot of Totnes Castle selling not only our own brews but a huge selection of craft beers from across the UK and abroad. We have an extensive range of low alcohol and Gluten-Free beers as well as delicious wines and all the usual spirits and soft drinks. We don' serve food but encourage people to bring their own - the Friday and Saturday markets offer a whole array of delicious offerings as well as our local cafes and cheese shop. We host a number of weekly community-based musical events as well as a monthly quiz with a difference. The bar is the ideal place for a drink before and after gigs upstairs and has a large beer garden that catches the late afternoon sun.

We don't need to tell you about all the issues facing hospitality at the moment but, put simply, in the UK we pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe - we also have one of the highest b**r duty taxes - it's cheaper for us to buy b**r in from Norway than it is from down the road in Devon or Cornwall. On top of this, we are competing with supermarkets, that have huge buying power and can sell b**r cheaper than most of the wholesalers in the UK.

We are not just a micro brew pub, we are a significant cultural hub for the town and wider area and the b**r we sell supports the The Barrel House Ballroom which is a CIC - the Ballroom gigs do not pay the wages - the brew bar b**r sales do and we dont like the price of a pint any more than you do.

Help all the pubs and restaurants in town by signing this petition and share it far and wide - just do it and make a little b**r angel jump for joy. fans
