A message from our Director, Surjit Manger:

I don’t often share personal reflections on here, but our first McHappy Day at Colliers Wood moved me to do so.

Welcoming Bella and Phoenix to the restaurant with their parents was particularly touching. It brought back memories of when my own son was born prematurely, and how much the care, reassurance, and advice we received meant to us. Meeting the family reminded me just how lasting an impact that support can have.

The day also showed the power of the McDonald’s brand to bring people together for a meaningful cause. When our teams, customers and communities come together, we can turn that reach into awareness, fundraising and support for Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, helping families stay close to their children when they need each other most.

I was proud to sponsor the day and even prouder of the warmth and kindness shown by Sawant, Alex, Rosa and the teams at Tonbridge,Tooting and Colliers Wood.
Thank you to everyone at RMHC UK for the work you do, and to the Ford Hunt family for spending the day with us.

Behind every fundraising event are families and stories that remind us why our support matters. This was one of those days I will remember for a long time.

☀️🏅 Teams Colliers Wood and Tooting made the most of the good weather on Tuesday with a Sports Day picnic!

The team came together for an afternoon of food, games and a little friendly competition. It was a great chance to have some fun together outside of the restaurant! 💛

🔨✨ Exciting changes are coming to Tooting!

Our Tooting restaurant is now closed until 15th October while we undergo an exciting refurbishment. We can’t wait to welcome you back and show you the finished result!

In the meantime, our nearest DMD restaurant is Colliers Wood, where the team will be happy to welcome you. 💛

✨ We recently welcomed Rebecca, Education, Learning & Development Coordinator at Head Office, to our Colliers Wood restaurant!

It was a great opportunity to share how our team is making the most of the new Crew Academy learning platform, as well as celebrating the fantastic apprenticeship success we’ve had across DMD Restaurants.

💛 Yesterday, Team DMD spent a lovely morning volunteering at Tooting House RMHC. Ronald McDonald House Tooting

We got creative making friendship bracelets and self-care packs to support the House with their Self-Care Sundays. 🫶✨

It’s always a pleasure to spend time at Tooting House and support the incredible work they do for families. 🏡💛

🌏✨ Last week, our teams celebrated South Asian Heritage Day as part of South Asian Heritage Month.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the diversity and cultures that make our restaurants so special. From trying delicious homemade dishes and listening to music to learning more about one another, it was a fantastic day of sharing, connection, and celebration. 💛
