Pokémon Mega Evolutions: Set 5 – Pitch Black Prerelease Events

At Bridge Troll Boardgame Café

Be among the first to experience the brand-new Pokémon Mega Evolutions: Set 5 – Pitch Black before official release!

We have four Prerelease events scheduled:

Saturday 4th July – 1:00pm

Sunday 5th July – 12:00pm

Tuesday 7th July – 6:00pm (Masters Division only)

Sunday 12th July – 12:00pm

Entry

£25 per player

Places are limited and restricted to one entry per Pokémon League ID number.

Tickets must be purchased in-store before the event. You will need to provide your Pokémon League Player ID when purchasing your ticket. If you do not already have one, you can obtain a League ID at Pokemon.com.

What to Expect

Each player will receive a Prerelease Kit, which includes:

1 of 4 exclusive promo cards

A ready-to-play 40-card deck

4 Pokémon booster packs

Players will use the contents of their kit to build and improve their deck before taking part in the tournament.

In addition, every participant will receive 1 extra booster pack after each round played, for a total of 7 booster packs throughout the event.

Bonus Event

Everyone who takes part in a Prerelease event will also be invited back for our Early Selling Party on Monday 13th July at 6:00pm, where you'll get the chance to purchase products from the new set before general release.

As many of you may have seen, there has recently been some controversy within the Pokémon community regarding allegations that a minor may have been taken advantage of during a card transaction.

This is one of the reasons why Bridge Troll only carries out trade-ins in store and with customers aged 18 or over. If you're fortunate enough to be under 18, we simply ask that you bring a responsible adult with you when trading cards for cash or store credit.

At Bridge Troll, transparency is extremely important to us. When valuing cards, we use eBay sold listings as our pricing reference. We do not use any other app or platform to value individual ungraded cards.

All valuations are completed in front of our customers, and we're always happy to explain exactly how we arrive at our prices.

If you'd like to learn how to value your own cards, pop into the shop and we'll happily show you the process.

Our current rates are:
🔹 80% Trade Credit
🔹 70% Cash
