Our reading club is on tonight from 6pm, come along with your current book or kindle and settle in with a cuppa, wine or beer and enjoy a lovely sociable read 📚☺️

Tickhill Library is a wonderful community asset and we are happy to support their fundraising by having their little jars available to collect from the café. You can collect a jar, fill it with 5ps or other coins and pop it into the library or back to us to pass on. This will help the library continue to provide such a vital local service 📚❤️

We can’t wait to see you all after a lovely wee summer break, back open tonight at 6pm for our quiet reading group hosted by Lesley our lovely local librarian and then back open fully tomorrow at 9am 😊

Come and keep cool with the air con and hydrated with a cuppa or maybe even a glass of something 🥂 along with a slice of our classic Victoria Sandwich 🍓

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) is our second Quiet Reading Group🍷🫖📚 from 6-7.30 pm

Do you love reading, but can’t find the time to join a book club?

Do you love reading, but don’t want to read a set book club book and/or chat about it?

Would you like time to read in companionable peace with fellow book lovers?

Then this group is for you!

Hosted by Lesley our lovely local librarian, the format of a quiet reading group programme is take a seat, have a chat, order a hot drink, wine, beer, cake, whatever you fancy 😊, then 6.15-7 pm everyone settles down to read. From 7pm onwards there will be time to chat to one another. Our first one last month was a lovely evening, we really enjoyed it.

We are now closed for a week for a wee summer break, back open at 6pm on Tuesday 7th July for our quiet reading group and at 9am on Wednesday 8th July for the café ….and yes, didn’t we pick the wrong week 🤦‍♀️🌦️😊

Wowsers it’s warm! Our air conditioning is on max though and it’s nice and comfortable in the café so come and enjoy a cool down and see our new display of art from the lovely Linda Bedford 😊
