The Maypole A warm welcome awaits you from Vince and Leon in this friendly village pub. They are friendly and pride themselves on giving the warmest of welcomes.

We serve a great selection of real ales, as featured in the Good Beer Guide and delicious home-cooked food. Vince and Leon believe the community of the picturesque village of Thaxted deserve more from their local pub and it’s their job to give you just that. They're committed to seeking out the very best quality local (where possible) ingredients at prices that are honest and fair. They aim to be a real part of the local community and would be proud to help fund raise for local charities and can offer a function area free of charge to locals and groups.
