The sunshine has kept footfall a little quieter today, so we’ve made a little less than usual—but the counters are still stocked with your favourites! 🥪🍰☕

We’ll most likely be closing a little earlier today to get the fridges reset and switched off until we’re back on Monday morning.

What. A. Week! 🤎🎉

Safe to say we’ve packed a LOT into the last seven days!

☕ Cream Tea Week Fete kicked things off in the best way possible… we were crowned Locals’ Choice WINNERS for another year! 🏆 Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us – your support means the world, we were also awarded Runner-Up by the judges for our Sweet Cream Tea Combo. We couldn’t be happier!

We had the pleasure of the lovely Riley doing work experience from Tavistock college- he absolutely smashed it and you are amazing customer made him very welcome.

🌈 Yesterday we were at Tavi Pride, and what a fantastic day! The sunshine, the smiles, the music - great day had by all. We absolutely loved being part of it.

🤎 We’ve also had two very important VIPs (Lynda’s parents!) staying with us this week, so today we’re enjoying a rare day off together in the sunshine before they head home.

Next stop… Tavistock Carnival! 🎭🎊 Bring on another brilliant week—we can’t wait to see you all there!

Cream tea week is in full swing and Sundays Cream Tea festival is looking like it’s going to be another great one.

🔥 Heatwave vs Coffee Shop Equipment: Heatwave currently winning. 🔥

We’ve closed an hour earlier today because the temperatures behind the counter have been a little too much for our hardworking equipment. Thankfully the fridges are still hanging in there, but the panini machine waved the white flag around 2pm and called it a day.32 degrees behind the counter.

We’re hoping it’s a quick fix, but to avoid any more dramatic appliance resignations (and some very expensive repair bills), we’ll be closing early on Tuesday and Thursday, around 2pm, depending on how the equipment behaves. Will will try to do takeaway and ice-cream if possible and there’s footfall demand.

On Wednesday, we’ll be CLOSED completely to give everything — including our lovely team — a chance to recover from the heat.

It’s not much fun trying to make coffee, toast paninis in tropical temperatures, so we hope you understand.

On the plus side it’s back to freezing 20degree temperatures for the weekend🤣.

Friday’s here and it’s looking pear-fect outside.

We’ve got a grape selection in today, all fresh and full of flavour. The carrots are looking rooting good, the lettuces are head and shoulders above the rest, and the berries are simply berry nice.
