is a small restaurant situated near the centre of Taunton. It is an old building full of character , with three different dining areas all with quirky features,nooks and crannies. The restaurant ethos is simple, we don't try and be something we are not, we offer a simple locally sourced menu with a twist. Serving classics such as slow roast leg of english lamb , Somerset Steaks including

a mighty 20oz T-Bone through to delicate fish dishes from the waters around the southwest. A fully stoked bar and extensive wine list provide the perfect accompaniment to the food we offer- we have a bar area with stools and high tables and we welcome guests for drinks at any time. The Garden room can hold parties of up to 26 people and is the perfect venue for family partys or celebrations with friends. The restaurant is owned by our Chef Ashley and his partner Georgie, a young couple focused on the food they serve, the atmosphere and dining experience of Tristans.

A definite good choice in this heat ☀️

Our Fish of the Day, fresh from Brixham, served on tandoori butternut, chickpea & ricotta cannelloni, sprinkled with pea shoots, finished with a lime wedge and drizzled with crisp chilli oil 🌶️

Fresh, vibrant and packed with flavour — the perfect dish for these warmer evenings.

What a lovely busy restaurant we had last night ✨
Thank you so much to everybody who joined us. It was great to see so many of our new menu dishes being so warmly received and thoroughly enjoyed by our diners.

Here we have our Vegetarian Katsu Curry 🍛🌱 and wow… doesn’t it look delicious? It was definitely one of the most popular dishes of the evening, and we can completely understand why!

We have tables available for tonight and Friday evening this week. Saturday is currently fully booked.
