It’s all ok !!!! I’ve had a few freaked out lovely customers worried that with my little van going I’m stopping. Worry not. Staggeringly after discovering the damage I have found Florence ANOTHER 1971 Sprite 400 and have converted her and she is now in action currently in Joppa.

The sad, sad end of an era. (It’s ok though Isle Coffee will continue in our new, identical van!!)

Who wants my ever so lovely Sprite 400, 1971 for free ?

Unfortunately after a trip from the Isle of Harris to Edinburgh, the swingarm has collapsed 😢 and she no longer can keep my plying my trade and I have stripped her out and I must now let her go.

She needs work, especially the chassis which can be fixed but it’s beyond me and my current situation. I will be taking the roof vent and then I’ll put some plastic to keep the water out but it’ll need replacing.

I don’t want any money for her, I’d like her to go to someone who’ll love her and fix her up. Her coffee van interior is still in place, cupboards and work benches and electric cabling but the fuse board has gone to my new van.

You’ll need to bring a trailer and take her home. Her wheel is at 45 degrees to vertical and not drivable. But she’ll get onto a trailer no bother. She can be driven VERY short distances only.

She’s in Joppa at the beach in Edinburgh.

So, that the first day back at Joppa over. All in all a great day. Huge thanks to Jules for the company and support and the best ever peanut butter and jam sandwich ever and thank you, thank you, thank you to all the lovely customers who came and had a coffee, hot chocky or cuppa tea today and gave us such a lovely welcome back. This is it. The last day we are open this season. 😢 Just a word to everyone who has come and supported our wee coffee emporium this year and years past. It’s been a fantastic season despite some hiccups (!!) along the way. There have been some truly exceptional humans this year, you know who you are, and I am so grateful of all the support and love that has come through. For the Cortado lovers, thanks. For the Cinnamon Bun lovers.m, thanks. For the Brownie lovers, thanks. For the syrup lovers, thanks for understanding that it’s a disgusting addition to my delicious coffee ! Thank you all and see you all in March !!!! ❤️

Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow ? Possibly but there’s definitely cinnamon swirls tomorrow !!! Today is the ante penultimate day of the season. We finish up on Sunday and then we’ll be back late February for more caffeine based loveliness. Thank you to everyone who has visited this year and brought great stories, good craic and great vibes to the caravan.

The end of the season is nigh. Just to let you all know I’m having the last two Mondays off, tomorrow and next and then I’ll be open 10-4 from Tuesday until Wednesday week (November 12th) which will be the last day of the season. I know, big slacker, Mondays off lazy git ! Saturday for the last Cinnamon Swirls of the year. Every day for and awesome . See you soon.

First of all, I’m back ! And here every day until November 13 unless you all stop coming. Secondly, people ask me all the time why would I work 7 days a week making coffee ? The answer is simple, I love coffee and I love people. It’s not always about getting yummy presents from lovely Canucks (but super thanks here!!), but meeting you all, having you let me into your world for a hot minute and vice versa is honestly what does it for me. Thank you to everyone who has come, broken bread, shot the s**t, driven into drainage ditches and left me delicious Canadian Maple Syrup, you have made 2025 one of the best years of my life despite the best efforts of a few lovelies who’ve tried to pop my balloons. 🎈

I’m sorry, The Lovely Jules and I went to the flicks last night at to see The Roses, a dramatically improved version of the truly hideous “War of the Roses” from the 90’s. But as a result no swirls today. GREAT NEWS THOUGH, WE’LL HAVE THEM TOMORROW (SATURDAY!!!!)
