Situated in the picturesque village of Upper Cwmtwrch, at the foot of the Blackmountains, just 15 minutes drive from Swansea and the M4 motorway. We offer a warm and friendly welcome, home cooked food prepared using local produce, all served with a smile. Evening meals are available 7 days a week including our chefs specials board. Our Sunday lunch carvery is highly recommended, but it is wise to

book as we get very busy. The pub has a very cosy atmosphere all year round but especially in the winter with our log fire burning away. At the rear of the pub we have a large beer garden overlooking the river Twrch. Thanks for visiting

✨ A LITTLE MAKEOVER IS ON THE WAY… ✨

Dear friends, customers and our wonderful New Tredegar Arms community, we just wanted to let you know that from 10th August, The New Tredegar Arms will be temporarily closed until further notice while we give the pub a little makeover. 🛠️✨

We’re incredibly excited about the changes we have planned and can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. ❤️

This is just the beginning of something special, and we promise there will be plenty of sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes pictures and updates along the way.

As we begin this exciting new chapter, we'd like to take a moment to introduce ourselves and share what matters most to us.

The New Tredegar Arms is not part of a chain. We are a proud, independent, family-run business with a genuine passion for great pubs, great food, and bringing communities together.
Many of you already know us from our sister pub, The Globe Inn Glais, where we've built our reputation on quality homemade food, warm hospitality, and treating every customer like family. Those same values are now at the heart of The New Tredegar Arms.

We understand that a change of ownership can bring uncertainty, especially when a pub has been part of the community for so many years. We completely appreciate that, and we want to reassure you that our aim is not to change what makes this pub special—but to build on it with care, respect, and passion.

✨ A New Chapter Begins at The New Tredegar Arms, Cwmtwrch ✨

Some places are more than just buildings—they are the heart and soul of a community. They are where memories are made, stories are shared, and friendships are built over great food, good drinks, and even better company.

We are delighted to announce that The New Tredegar Arms, Cwmtwrch is entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership. Our aim is to build on the pub's proud heritage while bringing fresh ideas, exceptional hospitality, and a renewed passion for serving the local community.

The person behind this exciting journey is no stranger to creating successful local venues, having brought you The George IV, Cwmtwrch, The Abercrave Inn, Abercraf, and The Aubrey Arms, Ystradgynlais.
Now, the journey continues with another wonderful venue ready to shine.
