Family-run Cafe serving fresh food and quality drinks in the heart of Swadlincote. Having been open for over 8 years, we've never stopped providing a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options; there's enough fresh sandwiches, daily food specials and delicately-crafted drinks to satisfy anyone!

16 years ago we opened the doors to Cafe Espresso for the first time, and today - 27th April 2024 - our doors were closed for the final time. In the time we have served Swadlincote, we have made countless friends, shared many stories, and have been proud of the community that has formed from our humble venture.

We’d like to thank our amazing staff for their dedicated hard work over the years; we could not have wished for a better group of people to work with. Jessica, Toni and Denise - we wish you the very best in the future and know you will be successful in your journeys.

And finally, we’d like to thank you - the people of Swadlincote - for your loyal custom and friendship throughout our journey. We have made some special memories and hold you all close to our hearts.

After 16 years of proudly serving the people of Swadlincote and beyond, we are sadly going to be closing the doors to Cafe Espresso on the 27th of April.

As a small family business we have a huge range of amazing memories with our incredible customers, and so we want to thank you all for making this such a special journey for us. Please pop along on our final day for a chance to say goodbye! We will close at 2pm.

Good to see The Magic Attic are now fully re-opened. We look forward to seeing the exhibits at the Town Hall. As Graham mentioned in the below video, we have a fantastic and very interesting display of local history on one of our walls in the cafe on High Street, that Ron changes weekly. 🤓😀☕️

To all our lovely customers,

We are very happy to announce that we will be opening our High Street Cafe on Monday!!!! We can't wait to see you all again, we have missed you all very much but we can still remember your favourites. 😁☕️🍰

We will be open from 8am until 2pm

Due to the National Lockdown restrictions we are now closed and hope to be back open in 4 weeks.
