Hi guys, apologies but I’ll be staying closed today 🤦‍♂️ it’s forecast for stronger winds than yesterday…and after the damage caused yesterday it’s just not safe to open up…it’s looking better for tomorrow so fingers crossed I’ll see you up there from 8:30 in the morning!🙏 David x

Closing early today (12:00) this wind is causing damage to the trailer, it’s claimed my new cake display 🤦‍♂️ and blowing directly in the trailer which is making it nigh on impossible to grind coffee🙄….although the swans don’t seem to mind it 😳🤦‍♂️

Just a quick one guys….unfortunately due to the rising costs (mainly fuel prices) I’ve had to increase my prices slightly 🤦‍♂️ I hate to do it and pride myself on keeping costs as low as I can for you all. I’ve held off for as long as possible and swallowed the increases for as long as I can but it’s just not feasible.

Just to give an example, when I started last year fuel prices were at £1:46 a litre…I’m paying £1.99 now….and using around 60 litres a week, that’s an extra £120 a month just on fuel…add in the rising costs of coffee and supplies it’s a big hit 😳
So, I’ve had to increase a few things…not everything as I’ve tried to keep it as low as I can.
I hope you understand and keep visiting over the colder months🙏

I’ve got a bit of good news for you today….after an amazing summer I’ve been awarded the winter contract for the coffee concession in the Country Park 👌🥳

So you’re stuck with me for a little while longer🙌

In all seriousness though, I can only keep going because of the support from you all, it’s not lost on me the time, effort and of course money out of your budget you choose to spend with me💙 and it’s massively appreciated…the first year up the park flew over (with more than a few obstacles)….the winter always throws up issues for any mobile catering concession so no doubt we’ll have a few along the way….but please please keep supporting me, keep paying me a visit even on the cold, wet horrible winter days because without you The Coal Face Coffee Trailer wouldn’t be what it is today🙌
I’m back up the park next week, see you all soon x

That’s me ‘Out of Office’ for a week…spending some quality family time 😊 when I first started The Coal Face Coffee Trailer it was with a view of getting the balance right between working to provide for my family and spending time with them, my weekends (every one) are spent up the park and the family sometimes have to do things without me so it’s nice to be able to take a break and spend some time with them 💙….back soon. David x
