🌟 FREE FAMILY LEARNING SESSIONS AT THE PLAY CAFÉ! 🌟

We’re really excited to be teaming up with Sunderland College to bring you two fantastic FREE family learning sessions here at the Play Café! 💛

These sessions are all about learning through play and helping parents and carers understand how everyday play can support children’s early development, communication, confidence and school readiness.

They’re relaxed, informal and hands-on, with lots of fun activities for you to enjoy alongside your little ones. 🧸🎨🫧

🧡 Session 1 – Explore, Play & Learn Together

📅 Thursday 5th November
⏰ 9:30am–11:30am

Come along and explore how simple play activities can support your child’s development, including:

✨ Playdough
✨ Sensory & messy play
✨ Mark making
✨ Communication & vocabulary
✨ Early maths
✨ Fine-motor skills
✨ Independence & confidence

You’ll also pick up lots of easy, inexpensive ideas to recreate at home!

💚 Session 2 – Create, Discover & Learn Together

📅 Thursday 12th November
⏰ 9:30am–11:30am

Building on the first session, we’ll explore even more creative, sensory and practical activities, looking at:

🎨 Colour & texture
🔺 Shape & counting
🫧 Cause & effect
🧩 Problem-solving
📚 Language & early literacy
✋ Fine-motor development
🌟 School readiness

Both sessions are designed for parents/carers and children to take part together, with activities suitable for different ages, interests and individual needs.

💛 The sessions are completely FREE!

📌 IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION

By booking onto this programme, you are booking onto BOTH sessions – Thursday 5th November AND Thursday 12th November.

You are required to attend both sessions, as they have been designed as a two-part programme and the second session builds on what is covered in the first.

There is one booking for the full two-session programme — you do not need to book each session separately.

As part of the programme, attendees will simply need to complete a short enrolment form and sign an attendance register.

🎟️ To book your place, please book through our usual booking system.

https://bookwhen.com/theplaycafesunderland/e/ev-ser28-20261105093000

Please only book if you are able to attend BOTH sessions.

Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out! 💛

📣 WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! 💬❤️

We’ve been having a little look at our opening days and times and we’ve noticed that some days — especially in the afternoons from around 2/3pm onwards — can be very quiet.

We’re therefore considering whether we should make some changes to our opening times and possibly the days we’re open.

But before we make ANY decisions, we want to know what YOU, our customers, actually want! 🥰

We would never want to change our opening hours without taking your preferences into consideration, so we’d really appreciate your feedback 👇

💭 What days do you usually prefer to visit us?
⏰ What times work best for you?
🌅 Do you prefer mornings or afternoons?
📅 Are there certain days you’d like us to be open later?
👶 What days/times would be most useful for you and your little ones?

Whether you visit us every week, occasionally, or you’ve been meaning to come along — we want to hear from you! ❤️

Please comment below with your preferred days and times. Your feedback will help us decide what changes, if any, we should make. Any changes will be term time only.

Thank you as always for supporting The Play Café Sunderland — we really do appreciate every single one of you! 🥰☕️🧸
