It's Covid Compliant Friday! π·β
Itβs not just the food and stunning views over the Painswick valley that bring many returning customers to The Edgemoor Inn but its Covid-secure measures too. ππ²πΊπ·
Owner Chris Bayes explained how his customers have repeatedly commented on how the Covid-secure measures in place at the Edgemoor Inn make them feel safe. Chris and his team have worked hard to ensure the premises is safe for staff and customers. π
Good signage throughout ensures that customers are reminded of the measures in place; there are well-spaced tables, both indoors and outdoors to ensure good social distancing between groups. π
There are plentiful hand sanitising points, and all customers are asked to use the track and trace app or provide details on arrival. There is frequent cleaning throughout, all tables and items on tables are cleaned between customers and close attention is paid to touch points and toilets. π§Όπ§½π§Ή
Going forward with the relaxation and lifting of further measures, Chris emphasised he wants to keep some measures in place, regardless of the guidance that is in place after July 19th. He feels itβs important that customers feel safe at the premises. Keeping well distanced tables is a feature that he feels should be maintained, along with frequent cleaning, the use of hand sanitisers and minimising group numbers for bookings. ππ’
In addition to their Covid compliant standards the Edgemoor Inn also achieved a food hygiene rating of 5 in their recent food hygiene inspection - well done to all the team! π₯³
Businesses should consider that even after June 19th, employers will still have a legal duty to manage risks to those affected by their business. The way to do this is to carry out a health and safety risk assessment, including the risk of Covid-19, and to take reasonable steps to mitigate the risks identified. π¦Ί
