Good afternoon, we have a few items to sell from the restaurant if anyone would be interested. The Blue Seal Stove is an absolutely fantastic piece of kit. Cost £2460 and was used for a month before we went full induction so whoever wants it will be getting a great deal. We have a pizza roller, a dehydrator, Sous vide tools vacuum packet and a lot of Gastro containers. A Polar 2 draw one cupboard and a 6 drawer service fridges If anyone is interested please PM me and I’ll get back to you with the details. Buyers must collect. Regarding the rational, standalone gram fridge and freezer, all the plates and dishwasher have already been sold, as a couple of people have asked.

Gonna have a few specials on, braised beef pastie with smoked Orkney cheddar, Hake, Brisket and thinking about a Scallop Pasta dish.

We’ve got Mussels back on this week, Hand Dived Orkney Scallops (they are beautiful), anyone fancy a pulled Slow braised beef Red Thai curry with our own naan bread, Chutney and Poppadom? Featherblade and Brisket braised for 4 hours served in a Thai red curry sauce from a recipe I got from a Thai kitchen porter whom I worked with in Australia? He had a conspiracy theory that door handles were invented by the government so they could collect our finger prints and that all doors should just be pushed to open. Obviously doesn’t understand wind.

We’re pretty full this weekend but open for lunches. Thank you

Few bits and bobs from the weekend. Passion Fruit Soufflé, some beautiful Orkney Scallops served with a Lobster Bisque Risotto, Pork loin on our Grill and some locally caught Langoustines. We’re getting pretty full every evening so if you’d like to reserve a table please let us know asap.

Good morning everyone. Just to let you all know, I’m going to be closing the restaurant permanently in the latter part of July. I’m sure it will come as a shock and it wasn’t an easy decision, but with rising costs…of everything, ongoing staffing issues and wanting to be with my family, I’ve decided to call it a day. Anyone with gift vouchers, we will prioritise you to reserve a table or contact me direct. Thank you to everyone who supported us and all the best.

***Edit*** just wanted to say I’m extremely appreciative of the support and have been absolutely inundated with Facebook messages and emails and I will reply to everyone asap. Thank you and have a lovely weekend.

Nice little Orkney Crab on a Shellfish Bisque Risotto (made with the shells from our Lobsters and Langoustines) Leek Oil, Scallop Powder. Cafe de Paris Butter to go with our Roast whole Lobster. Our bread I bake everyday and creme brûlée to finish. We will have scallops back on tomorrow but no mussels this week folks as the boat broke down.

We are full tomorrow evening and have very limited availability Friday and Saturday so booking is advised.

Lasagne for a Sunday lunch special. 3.5 hours braised with smoked bacon and finished with milk. We’ve got Lobster and Langoustines on as a special this week straight from a local Orkney supplier. Doesn’t get any better. Scallops and Mussels we’ll have on Thursday.
