Firstly, sorry it has taken me so long to post this — we are still recovering from the marathon on Sunday, mentally and physically 😂.
It was an incredible, emotional, tough day, much tougher than I think any of us could have imagined. If it wasn't for all the money raised for Reverse Rett and the thought of what this could mean for Millie and all the other girls with Rett syndrome, I don't know if I would have crossed that finish line.
To my sister Mel and my best friend Katy — you were brave enough to sign up with me and generous enough to give up so much of your time for this. Stuart and I cannot thank you both enough.
To Stuart, Dave, Blair, and all our kids who trekked around the outskirts of Edinburgh just to catch a brief glimpse of us and my mum and Colin bringing Millie all the way in to meet us at the finish line — it meant more than you know. Seeing your faces kept us going.
And to every single person who donated, shared our post, looked up Rett Syndrome, or told someone else about it — thank you. That's exactly why we signed up.
We set out hoping to make a difference. The response has completely blown us away.
💜 Together, we've raised £10,112.
I never dreamed we'd get anywhere near that. We are beyond grateful to every single one of you for being part of this journey with us.
If anyone would still like to donate our Just Giving page will be open for another week

..Oh, and one last thing. Stuart? Start stretching. It's your turn next year 😜
