☀️🐾 UPDATE ON OUR CHARITY DOG WALK 🐾☀️

Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel our charity dog walk planned for this Saturday morning.

Our chosen charity for June is Dudley Stroke Association, and while we’re disappointed not to be able to go ahead as planned, the welfare of our four-legged friends has to come first. With the extreme temperatures forecast this week, we feel it’s safest to keep our furry companions out of the heat.

We will do our very best to rearrange the walk for a later date when the weather is cooler and more comfortable for everyone involved. 💙

We’d also like to gently remind everyone visiting the pub this week that while we absolutely love welcoming your doggie friends, please be mindful that it does become very hot inside the pub too.

If you are bringing your dogs out and about, please think carefully about:
🐾 Hot pavements and flooring that can burn sensitive paws
💧 Keeping them well hydrated
🌳 Choosing cooler times of day and shaded areas
❤️ Whether they’d be more comfortable staying at home in the cool

Thank you all for your understanding and for helping us put the safety and wellbeing of our lovely doggies first.

We look forward to rearranging our charity walk and continuing to support Dudley Stroke Association when the weather is a little cooler🐶

💙 Happy Father’s Day from all of us at The Roe Deer 💙

We’re busy today looking after lots of lovely dads and their families, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who has booked a table with us.

If you haven’t managed to book, don’t worry – our garden terrace is still open for you to pop by and enjoy some delicious food and a well-earned pint in the sunshine. 🍔🍺☀️

Spaces are available on a walk-in basis and are subject to availability, so come and join us if you can.

🐾 Charity Dog Walk at The Roe Deer – Saturday 27th June 🐾

Come and join us on Saturday 27th June for a morning walk as we enjoy a gentle stroll through our beautiful local countryside.

We’ll be meeting at The Roe Deer at **9:00am** for a cuppa and a pastry on the patio before setting off on our walk at around **9:30am**.

The route is approximately **2 miles** and takes in open fields, footpaths, and woodland trails. Please note that walking boots or wellies may be needed, as parts of the route can be muddy.

We’ll be back in time for lunch – or even breakfast if we return before **10:45am**! Feel free to stay afterwards for a bite to eat or a well-earned pint. If you’d like to book a table, please click the link below.

It’s not just humans who are our customers, you know! 🦉

Last week, this beautiful little barn owl popped in for breakfast, and we just had to share him with you all. Look how gorgeous he is! 😍

We love seeing the local wildlife around The Roe Deer – but this might just be one of our favourite visitors yet! ❤️
