A MESSAGE FROM THE SIR THOMAS BROWN TEAM
First of all, we would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over the last 9 years. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today. ❤️
Unfortunately, the last 3 years have been particularly challenging, with extortionate utility bills and rising costs making it increasingly difficult to keep the pub running.
We have always tried to make the Sir Thomas Brown more than just a pub. We like to think of it as a big, happy family, a place where people can come together, enjoy themselves and feel part of the community. ❤️
The reality is that, without your continued support, it will become increasingly difficult for us to keep our doors open. Live sport, weekend entertainment and our summer singers in the garden are all part of what makes our pub special.
Sadly, a new resident on the estate has been making complaints to Environmental Health about noise from the pub. We do everything we possibly can to keep noise to a minimum and be considerate of our neighbours. We understand that people have a right to enjoy their homes, and we always try our best to strike a balance.
We pay for all the necessary licences to provide live entertainment, and these events are an important part of keeping our community pub alive.
What we find particularly upsetting is the thought that the actions of one person could potentially affect something that so many people in our community enjoy.
We believe the Sir Thomas Brown is an important part of the local community, and we hope to continue providing the entertainment, laughter and good times that so many of you have enjoyed over the years.
If anyone has any concerns or issues, please don’t hesitate to pop in and have a chat with us. We are an approachable team and are always happy to listen and find a way forward.
We don’t want to lose what we’ve worked so hard to build over the last 9 years. We simply want to continue being a welcoming community pub where everyone can come together and enjoy themselves.
Please continue to support your local pub. Without you, there is no us. ❤️
Thank you once again for standing by us. Here’s hoping we can continue to bring you live music, sport and plenty more happy memories for years to come.
Lots of love,
❤️ The Sir Thomas Brown Team ❤️
