Important Announcement

After 4 Wonderful years of trading, this chapter of Chai is coming to an end.

I know this will come as sad news to many & for that, I am truly sorry 😞. Nearly 4 years ago, the amazing Romiley community & surrounding areas — welcomed us with open arms & have kept us incredibly busy ever since. I will be forever grateful for your love, support and loyalty.

From the very beginning, Chai Village was always more than just a business. My dream was to create a safe, warm, & cosy space for everyone to enjoy. What started as a small idea grew into an incredible adventure — one filled with laughter, friendships & countless cherished memories.

Right now, my time and energy are needed elsewhere. Running a busy café while raising a young family is no small task, and although this decision hasn’t been easy, it feels like the right one.

Change is never easy, & it brings a mix of emotions. Still, I feel deeply humbled by what we’ve achieved together. When my girls reminded me that most new businesses don’t make it past their first year, it put everything into perspective. We didn’t just survive those early challenges—we flourished for 4 years. Running a small, independent vegan/veggie cafe in a close-knit village wasn’t easy, but your support made the difference. From regulars who popped in with a smile to neighbours who recommended us to friends, every visit mattered. You helped create a community around good food & shared values.

The good news is that the café will soon be taken over by a new team, bringing some new & exciting flavours to Romiley. I truly hope you’ll continue to support them, just as you’ve supported us. In fact, you'll probably still see me around as I lend a helping hand.

Please do come & visit before we close — I’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible for one last cup of chai together. And whilst it marks end of Chai in The Village it's not the end of our story. Stay tuned for our next chapter.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for being part of this journey, for believing in Chai Village, and for making it so special. I will truly miss everyone.

An amazing start to the half term holidays with the first of our sell-out Halloween events.
We had a whopping 30plus little legs painting pumpkins, sipping juice, and nibbling on spooky brownies.

A huge thank you to Gabby .gaby for an amazing setup.

As a community café I am really happy to be supporting another little local venture that strives to make a difference 💚

If this is your thing, give Capture and Calm Walks a follow.
They are a supportive and peer-led women’s group combining mindfulness, nature & photography to improve wellbeing. The group aims to create safe and welcoming spaces for women. The photography (which we are hoping to display at Chai in the near future) aims to capture the beauty of slowing down and noticing nature.

Join their Instagram and page and get capturing, no expensive camera needed. There are some beautiful captures on there already.

It's the summer holidays, but keep calm we've got you covered. I know how hard it can be entertaining, feeding, and keeping little legs busy, so we’re doing what we can to help (albeit little).

Bring your little ones to Chai over the summer, and they can have a small selection of food for just £1 👀

We didn't win, but I still feel like a winner.

Thank you to everyone who took time out and voted for us. Over 500 businesses across Stockport were nominated, and we were shortlisted as category finalists, which is a huge achievement & honour to be recognised 💚

I am so Grateful for everyone who keeps us going and how far we have come.
