Fancy trying a ceilidh with a twist? 🕺🔬

We’re delighted to welcome the award-winning Science Ceilidh to The Golden Lion on Thursday 22nd October for an evening of traditional ceilidh dancing with a science-themed twist.

From the Strip the Helix to the Aurora Whirl and the Dashing White Blood Cell, it’s set to be a fun night of music and dancing. No dance or science experience needed, everyone is welcome!

Last week was a great evening as we welcomed Red Corrie Yellow Corrie , a Glasgow-based Scottish folk duo performing a tribute to the legendary folk group The Corries, alongside other traditional Scottish songs and folk classics.

A very proud moment for Ros and for Stirling ✨

We’re delighted to share some wonderful news about our very own Rosalind Atkinson, one of the owners of The Golden Lion Hotel.

Ros has made history by becoming the first female Clerk of the Guildry of Stirling in its 907-year history.

It’s a fantastic achievement and a very special milestone for an organisation that has been part of Stirling for more than nine centuries.

Everyone here at The Golden Lion is incredibly proud of Ros and would like to congratulate her on this historic appointment. 👏

Here’s to making a little bit of Stirling history!

Yesterday, we celebrated a truly special milestone as our dear friend Lorna marked her 80th birthday! 🎂

For years, the ladies have spent their Wednesday mornings here at The Golden Lion, sharing laughs, catching up and making memories together. It was lovely to make yesterday extra special with a beautiful birthday cake to celebrate the incredible, kind and fabulous lady she is.
