A throwback to 1995 when The Akash featured on ITV talking about Britain’s growing love affair with curry 🍛

By 1997, curry had overtaken fish & chips as Britain’s favourite dish.

Nearly 50 years later… the story continues.

What an amazing evening hosting the Portsmouth Pompey History Society at The Akash! 💙⚽️
They’re raising £25,000 to secure one of the club legend’s winning medals and keep a special piece of Pompey history in the city — and we were proud to support the cause.

To make the night extra fun, we surprised everyone with a Pompey-themed menu featuring player-inspired dishes. A few of the highlights:
