Pastel rainbows, cherries & alllll the piping 🌈🍒✨

I absolutely loved this take on a rainbow cake. Soft, dreamy pastel colours, little rainbows and clouds, finished with classic Lambeth-style piping and cherries on top 💕☁️

Possibly one of my favourite colour palettes to pipe with too. There’s something so fun about a cake where more is more 🥹

Happy 6th birthday Carmen! 🌈✨

Home from holiday and straight back in with a pretty big update… 🥹🏡

We’ve bought a house! 🙊

After keeping this fairly quiet while everything was going through, we have officially exchanged on our new home in Corfe Mullen and we’ll be moving towards the end of October.

Which means Blundell Bakes is moving too 🎂

I started this business from home in Bournemouth 4 years ago, so it feels very strange to think I’ll soon be packing everything up and baking from somewhere completely new.

For my Bournemouth customers, don’t worry! I’ll still be covering Bournemouth, Poole and the wider Dorset area for weddings and deliveries as usual.

The main change will be that collections will eventually move over to Corfe Mullen, and I’m also really excited to become a little more local to Corfe Mullen, Broadstone and Wimborne.

I’ll share all the boring practical bits nearer the time 😂 but for now I just wanted to share the exciting part.

Blundell Bakes is getting a new home 🏡🤍

What does being a full-time baker actually involve? 🤍

The baking and decorating might be the part you see most often, but behind every order there are enquiries to answer, designs to plan, ingredients to buy, invoices to send, kitchens to clean and collections or deliveries to organise.

Blundell Bakes is a one-woman business, so every message you receive and every cake you collect has been handled by me from beginning to end.

It can be a lot of spinning plates, but seeing your celebrations come together makes it all worth it 🧁

One year ago today, I delivered this beautiful three-tier semi-naked wedding cake to for the loveliest couple 💖 Happy first anniversary!

P.S. A special shout-out to my husband Leo, who had to help me deliver this one because it was so heavy I genuinely couldn’t carry it 😂🙈

Come together, right now… over cake 🎶🖤

A Beatles-themed birthday cake, complete with Abbey Road silhouettes, musical notes and a matching zebra crossing cake board!

Any Beatles fans here? 🎸

Not me 🙋🏻‍♀️

Sheet cakes can be every bit as pretty as a traditional round cake, with the added bonus of being perfect for feeding a crowd 🎂✨

Would you choose a sheet cake for your next celebration?

This is one of those cake designs I’ve made again and again, it’s always so cute and I love creating cakes around a persons hobby.
