What an achievement…. 25 years of marriage… and what a lovely way to celebrate. This is a huge double barrelled 8” cake with lemon sponge, lemon curd and lemon buttercream covered in white chocolate ganache which is an amazing combination.

Carrot cake anyone? And who remembers Mrs Tiggy winkle? This is a new style for me but one I’ve fallen in love with. This was a decadent carrot cake with orange buttercream which smelt amazing! With some special addition of mrstiggywinkle

Apologies but I’ve been so busy that I’ve really slacked off sharing all the cakes I’ve been making! The special recipient of this cake has her own Bridge club and the cake was themed around her logo and including her own players card!

Another 🔥 wedding day yesterday Leonardo Hotels Southampton . Thankfully the bride was amazing and was happy to have a thin layer of ganache around bottom and middle tiers of the cake ( top layer vegan) to try and keep it as stable as possible. Thank goodness because the air conditioning unit was broken! This year has pushed bakers to the limit and I will definitely be thinking about designs for future summer weddings!

Triplets turn 8!! Having done cakes for the boys last year it’s always such a privilege to be asked again. They are all into the World Cup so each cake incorporated a keepsake World Cup Trophy and then each was personalised to them…. From sushi to art… and more football. Each cake with its own flavour. Happy birthday boys!!

Congratulations to Sam and Abby who got married in the beautiful St Peter’s church in Bishops Waltham yesterday. What a beautiful day. This was a huge 10” fruit cake with an even bigger 12” fruit cake and was being served immediately after the service. Quite a different style for me but I think it came off well. Thanks to Willow and ivy florist for the wild flowers.
