We are incredibly proud to see AO included in the latest MICHELIN Guide announcement.

We’re a very small team and are incredibly dedicated to providing exceptional food and service in the Southampton area, so it’s a real honour, not just for me but for all of us at AO, to be recognised by MICHELIN once again.

I also see it as an exciting moment for this city. We are the only restaurant in Southampton recognised in the MICHELIN Guide, and I hope this paves the way for future fine dining restaurants and opens up further opportunities for young chefs wanting to hone their skills in the area.

We want to thank our guests for their ongoing support, as well as everyone who has supported us along the way, and of course MICHELIN for recognising the hard work we have all put in.

It’s a really special moment for me and the team, and we look forward to everything else we want to achieve in the future.

We will now be hungrier than ever to achieve our goals.

Autumn’s creeping in, the temperature’s dropping and AO is getting cosier by the day 🖤

Behind the scenes: new season ingredients arriving, quiet moments before the doors open, everything coming together piece by piece.

A huge thank you to every guest who joined us last week, you make it all worth it. More to come soon.

What would you ask a sommelier? We put your questions to Brooke, Head Sommelier at Restaurant AO, covering everything from her first favourite bottle to what she’s pouring herself after a long Saturday service. 🍷
