Hello everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that we must share some devastating news. Our beloved family run fish and chip shop, which has proudly served our community for close to 20 years, has suffered a tragic fire.

The building has been severely damaged, and whilst the investigation is still ongoing, early indications suggest the fire may have been caused by mindless individuals trespassing and acting recklessly.

We are deeply saddened by the impact this will have on our staff, our family and the local community. Our restaurant must remain closed while we work through the aftermath and explore every possible way to rebuild and return.

If anyone has any information, please contact 101 with the crime reference number 137219A/25.

We would like to thank everyone who has reached out with kind words and support and we look forward to welcoming you all back.

Now it’s the end of the summer season we are changing our opening times.

We are now open from half 10 till 4pm Mondays-Fridays and half 10 till 7pm on the weekends, all weather dependent.

We’ve managed to attract 2 lovely birds here at The Blue Marlin, they’ve been here a couple of days now.

We’ve only managed to get a picture of one of them, but if you recognise or own these pigeons they seem to be sticking around down here if you’d like to come collect them.
