🏡 A LITTLE BIT OF WOODLANDS EDGE HISTORY 🍻

The Woodlands Edge has been part of South Ockendon for a long time, although it hasn’t always had the same name.

Many locals will remember it as The Troubadour, before it later became The Moon Under Water as a J D Wetherspoon pub.

It then became the Woodlands Edge, and over the years has been the setting for countless birthdays, family meals, nights out, Christmas parties and catch-ups with friends.

In 2015, the pub had a major refurbishment and began another chapter.

Then, on 3rd July 2026, the Woodlands Edge closed its doors ready for a full refurbishment.

Now we’re getting ready to open them again.

🎉 Grand Opening – 29th August 2026

A new look, a fresh start, but still the same local pub at the heart of South Ockendon.

We’d love to hear from anyone who remembers The Troubadour, The Moon Under Water, or the Woodlands Edge over the years.
