In Japan there's a saying...
Nihonshu wa ryori wo erabanai.
Sake does not fight with food.
In fact, it does the opposite.
You'll find our Akashi-Tai Sake Tokubetsu Junmai, with its rich umami and pear notes, is best friends with pretty much all the sushi on our menu. Try it alongside our jo moriawase or wagyu truffle nigiri and you'll see why.

Completely on it, always professional, and somehow makes everything a little more fun at the same time. The little touches, the checking in, the genuine care for guests and team alike. That's just Daria.

We won. Again!
Last Thursday, we were named Restaurant of the Year at the SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle & Community Awards 2026, and we couldn’t be happier! 🎉
Cheltenham is where KIBOU began, so there is no award we're prouder of. And this is our third time winning. 2019, 2021, and now again in 2026.
This one belongs to our whole team, who give everything every single service. And to every guest who has made KIBOU their chosen Cheltenham restaurant and keeps coming back to see us.
We'll be talking about this one for a while.
