Missing my little cafe 😭, but I am pleased to share that I am now part of the kitchen team at the Royal Hill in Edgerley. We’ll be bringing some familiar favourites to the specials board, including Welsh rarebit for those who’ve missed it! 😍

They will also be introducing cake and coffee very soon, so watch this space,

Also in the next week or so I will be popping a Cake shed in the village operating with an honesty box, so before I close the fb page down for the cafe I will update you the on the details of the cake shed and its location for those who are interested 📍❤️

Today is our last day in the café.
Our final Monster Breakfast will be served — and we’d love for you to come and share it with us and help make today special.

A huge hats off to my incredible team, who’ve shown up every day with strength, professionalism, and heart, even knowing the end was coming. They deserve all the love — come and show them just how much they’ll be missed.

We’re open from 10am.
One last hard day.
Smiles on our faces, heavy hearts in our chests — and we’ll get the job done together.

On another note …

Our lovely neighbours Moor Farm Shop will be still be remaining open on their usual hours , I hope all our lovely cafe customers will continue to support them, it’s a difficult time for small independent businesses, so even popping to a local farm shop when you need some milk or bread, meat or veg makes a massive difference, plus they will be serving hot drinks so you don’t get to miss out on your Rijo coffee fix, so please get behind them, they work incredibly hard between the farm and the shop whilst juggling family time, and they deserve your support. ❤️

🥹 Announcement 🥹

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce we will be closing the café as of 21st December. This has been an incredibly tough decision to make, but with how challenging and uncertain things have become in our industry, we feel it’s the right step for us at this time and we want to end things on a positive note.

I want to say the biggest thank you to my amazing wonderful team. Your hard work, kindness, understanding, and friendship have meant the world to me. I am truly so grateful for every single one of you. Life will certainly not be the same without working alongside such wonderful people every day. I love you all more than you know.

And to all our lovely customers—thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting the café, for your loyalty, and for making this place feel like a little community of its own. We are going to miss being here so much.

Thank you for the memories, the laughs, and the love. ❤️ please join us for our last week where we will close the doors for the final time on Sunday the 21st at 4pm

What a fantastic turn out this evening for the Baschurch Christmas tree light Switch-on!! It was amazing to see so many people attend, a massive thank you to Baschurch Parish Council for letting us be apart of it, and well done on getting it organised, it’s great to finally have a festive community get together on the village green with a beautiful tree for us to all to enjoy 🎄

Also a huge thank you to all who supported our stall, we possibly underestimated the the turn out, but we certainly enjoyed it, and it was lovely to see so many familiar faces, 🥰

Well done to all involved, it was a lovely evening 🎄🎅🥮🧁.

Well would you look at these 😍😍😍

Jack, our kitchen porter has tried his hand in the bakery section today, I set him the task of making our popular Biscoff Brownie Scotch Eggs, and boy did he do well!!!

There’s many processes involved in making these and a lot of it can be time sensitive to getting it right, and he produced them like a pro and all by himself!!!

Now available on the counter,

We will be having a stall at the the Christmas light switch on in Baschurch next week, so if you want to come and try one, then get yourself there. We will also be doing luxury hot chocolates, and other yummy treats along with our Mince pies of course.

The weather may be terrible, and the rain ☔️ has been pouring, but a breakfast and a cuppa will surely make it all seem better. 🥓☕️

We are open from 9am, the heating is on, the coffee is waiting and we have loads of treats on the counter.

❤️Baschurch Heartbeat Team – Every Minute Matters ❤️

Did you know that in a cardiac arrest, a person’s chance of survival drops by 10% every single minute without treatment? That’s why the Baschurch Heartbeat Team is here — trained volunteers ready to act fast when every second truly counts.

Since forming in 2012, our team has responded to top-priority emergency call-outs from West Midlands Ambulance Service, attending 4–5 life-threatening incidents each year across Baschurch and surrounding villages including Myddle, Ruyton XI Towns, Weston Lullingfields, and Yeaton.

When someone collapses and isn’t breathing, our volunteers are dispatched immediately within a 3-mile radius, bringing a defibrillator and starting urgent CPR to keep oxygen flowing to the brain until paramedics arrive. All volunteers are fully trained and DBS checked — neighbours helping neighbours when it matters most. 💛

Cardiac arrest can strike anyone, at any time.
Across the UK, 135,000 people lose their lives to cardiac arrest each year — that’s one person every 6 minutes.

Our mission is simple:

➡️ Start CPR immediately
➡️ Give someone the best possible chance of survival
