We owe you an honest explanation regarding our current closure.
You all deserve to know the truth about everything โค๏ธ
Chef Alex is currently away dealing with a heavy personal matter, but he is fully committed to coming back.
To be completely transparent, Alex left for a holiday, but upon his return on the 12th of July, he was unfairly denied access to the country due to a Home Office error regarding his right to stay.
Despite spending half of his life living and working in the UK, he was stopped at Manchester passport control and ultimately sent back to Italy.
Lawyers are actively dealing with this unjust situation right now, and be rest assured that he will be back and will reopen the restaurant to continue making everyone happy with his food.
Before stepping away for his holiday, Alex placed his trust in individuals to run the restaurant.
Sadly, that trust was completely abused. These individuals stole from the business, forcing a temporary shutdown. We want to make it absolutely clear that any hurtful rumors currently circulating about Alex are completely false; they are vicious lies being spread by the very same individuals who ruined everything to deflect from their own crimes.
Fortunately, we have full CCTV footage documenting all of their actions, which is being used to hold them fully accountable. Due to the nature of the betrayal and vicious rumours, I'm sure you can understand it has deeply hurt Alex.
Apologises for everyone being left in the dark however I'm sure you can understand this matter had to be internally handled before releasing any information.
This is an incredibly painful setback, but with your continued support, Alex and the restaurant will come back stronger than ever.
