New isn’t always the answer. 📣

This Secondhand September, we’re thinking about all the ways we can give the stuff we already have a second life. Keeping things in circulation means less demand for more extraction, production, and waste.

What’s one thing you’ve thrifted, repaired, or repurposed lately? 💬

This is such a brilliant idea. We are so happy to be involved.

Borrow clothes like you borrow books!

Exciting news! Shropshire Shared Wardrobe now has a collection of occasion wear here at Shrewsbury Library.
If you've got an event coming up and don't want to break the bank buying an outfit to wear once, why not borrow one from the collection. Just like borrowing books, there is no charge and you can keep the item for 3 weeks. You can also renew the item if needed and, if you decide you want to keep it, you can make a 'pay what you can' donation and give the item a new forever home.
