It’s official: after almost three incredible years, our beautiful tearoom is for sale.
I can hardly believe I’m writing that sentence, as it’s been such a hard and emotional decision to make. We truly love our customers, you’ve been at the heart of everything we’ve done and we have felt so, so honoured to serve you.
It was a long-held dream to have my own little tearoom, but if I’m honest I never thought it would be possible. I absolutely loved Tea Beside the Sea and would often think, “this is perfect” so when it came up for sale, I had to take the plunge!
I was terrified at the time, but opening Queen Bee’s Tearoom (Queen Bee because of a fun family nickname) turned out to be one of the best things we ever did. We want to say an enormous THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over these past three years, it means more than we could ever put into words.
Saying goodbye to Queen Bee’s Tearoom makes our hearts heavy, but we’d be doing you a disservice to continue when we now have other important life commitments to focus on. That’s why we’re looking to find a buyer who feels the same as we do – who wants to spend their days chatting with lovely regulars, making new friends, smiling every day, and serving food with love. Putting their whole hearts into creating a space where everyone feels welcome.
Thank you so much again for the kindness and support you have shown us, right from the moment we opened our doors. We’ll post an update as soon as a buyer is found.
In the meantime please continue to come and see us for your food, drinks and sweet treats ❤️ we’re still here and look forward to seeing you!
