🍻 Quiz Nights Are Back! 🧠

Our quiz nights are returning, and we’re aiming to host them on the first Sunday of every month!

As is traditional here at The Mitre, the winning team will be invited — but certainly not obliged! — to set the questions and host the following quiz night. So, if you win, be prepared… you might be in charge next time! 😉

All proceeds from our quiz nights are donated to charities supported by the pub, including Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, the RNLI and the Royal British Legion (RBL).

Our quizzes are very informal and definitely not taken too seriously — although there’s still plenty of pride at stake! Nobody wants to come last and take home the dreaded wooden spoon! 🥄

Whether you’re a regular quiz team, fancy putting a team together, or simply want to turn up and join in, everyone is welcome.

🍂 NEW SEASON, NEW MENU! 🍂

We’ve got some exciting changes happening in the kitchen for the Autumn & Winter months! 🍽️

With our Pit Stop Bar taking a well-earned winter break, we’re switching up our Tuesday nights. Say hello to One Pot Wonder Tuesdays! 🥘

We’re kicking things off this coming Tuesday with a Chicken Tikka Masala — hearty, warming and packed with flavour!

Every Tuesday after that, we’ll be serving up a different delicious classic one-pot dish, from Beef Bourguignon and Chilli Con Carne to plenty more seasonal favourites. ❤️

Our Weekly Menu has also had a refresh and will be available from Wednesday lunchtime through to Saturday evening.

No fuss. No frills. Just great food, cooked with care. 🍴

And if you’re passing by the kitchen, pop your head in and say hello to the chef! 👋

We’re always happy to welcome walk-in customers, subject to availability.

Lunch:
12pm–2:30pm for booked tables
Walk-ins welcome until 2pm

Evening:
6pm–8:30pm for booked tables
Walk-ins welcome until 8pm

As we can get busy, bookings are recommended, particularly during peak times. Walk-ins are very welcome, but please be aware that we may not always be able to accommodate you if we’re already busy or fully booked.
