Dear valued customers,

We would like to inform our Akash Tandoori customers that after 33 wonderful years the take away is now under new management.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our customers over the years, many of whom we built great friendships with. Akash Tandoori has been paramount to Shepshed and pioneered the way for many new food businesses in the area. We are grateful for your support over the decades. We feel our Father deserves a well earned rest after devoting most of his life serving the people of Shepshed. It has been an honour to be a part of Shepshed’s story and truly is the end of an era.

As a family we have now decided to focus all our attention on our business Chocalatte Cafe & Desserts

We wish the new owners all the best.

After 8 months of being closed, we are proud to announce that we are reopening our award winning, family run takeaway; Akash tandoori! We are opening from 5:30pm tonight! (21/09/2020)
We have missed you and are excited to be back!

It’s that time of the year again where We are closing from Monday 10th February, for about 4-5 weeks for a well deserved break. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers who have supported Akash for many years, help making it a successful business.

Since opening in 1992 as one of the longest cuisine established in Shepshed, we have strived to provide the best and finest quality Indian food. It has not been easy with challenges along the way, however we have endeavoured to make sure we continue to provide the first class service you deserve.

Furthermore we would like to say apologies to all the customers who were not satisfied with the service received due to delivery issues. We are confident the food would have made up for the disappointment. However we would like to stress that some refurbishments will be taking place over the coming weeks, enabling us to give the same quality of food with a less waiting time.

Finally, we would like to again say a big thank you to all of you and hopefully see you soon.
