From the week commencing 7th June 2026, the clubhouse will be open Thursday to Monday inclusive, with our usual opening times remaining the same on those days.
We appreciate that this may be disappointing to some of our customers, and this is not a decision we have taken lightly.
As many of you will already know, the previous business, The Ranch, sadly went into administration following a very challenging trading period. Since taking over, we have worked hard to create a welcoming venue for the local community, including reduced drinks offers, food deals, events, and our loyalty scheme.
Despite these efforts, we are unfortunately experiencing some of the same challenges that affected the previous operators. One of the biggest issues appears to be our location and visibility. Many people who have visited us for functions have told us they did not previously know we were here, which shows us that awareness is still a key challenge for the business.
As operators, we are trying to respond quickly and responsibly. With utility costs continuing to rise, and electricity alone costing around £18 per day extra just to open the doors, we have had to look carefully at our running costs. After reviewing the quieter trading days, we believe the most sensible step is to close during the this part of the week.
All other activities will continue as planned, and the bar and function room will still be available for private hire on the days we are not open to the public.
We remain fully committed to making the best possible use of the building and continuing to provide a friendly, enjoyable space for the community. We truly appreciate everyone who has supported us so far, and we hope you will continue to visit, spread the word, and help us grow.
