Owner and also the head chef of 7Oaks Meze Restaurant. Born in Turkey, his journey into the kitchen began at a very young age, where he learned that great cooking is built on discipline, respect for ingredients, and tradition. Over the years, Chef Halil refined his craft by learning from and being inspired by some of the world’s most respected chefs, quietly absorbing techniques and philosophies that now define his cuisine.
Every dish Chef Halil prepares is cooked as if it were for his own family — with care, honesty, and uncompromising quality. His approach is rooted in the belief that guests deserve not only exceptional food, but an experience shaped by trust, consistency, and passion.
For eight years, Chef Halil successfully owned and led Hayat Restaurant, in Sidcup, building a reputation for refined Mediterranean flavours and warm hospitality. As since November, 2025, he begins a new chapter in Sevenoaks, bringing his heritage, experience, and modern elegance to the table at 7Oaks Meze.
At 7Oaks Meze, The Chef brings together heritage, experience, and quiet precision. Each service is guided by the same philosophy that shaped his journey from a young kitchen in Turkey to this table in Sevenoaks: respect the ingredient, honour tradition, and never compromise on quality.
