Horton Station Cafe Bar In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and at the foot of Ingleborough.

Horton In Ribblesdale Station Cafe Bar is a joint venture between the Settle Carlisle Railway Property Company and the Friends of the Settle Carlisle Railway.

We’re looking forward to seeing lots of you this Friday and Monday. Please note we open at 9.30am not 9.00am.

We would like to apologise that if over recent weeks you have been unable to get you coffee, parkin or beer fix in Horton before jumping on a train.

We find ourselves desperately short of volunteers to be able to open both Horton and Ribblehead station cafes at the same time. Sadly on these occasions when there is not enough staff Horton has to close.

We are actively recruiting more volunteers (could you help out - please get in touch if you can) and taking steps to try and keep Horton open more.

Happy 150th Birthday to passenger services on the Settle to Carlisle railway. What a stunning day for a party.

Pop on down to Settle Station for the festivities this morning - visit the signal box.

Take a ride up to Horton for lunch, watch the comings and goings at the quarry.

Enjoy some afternoon tea and cake alongside the beautiful views of Batty Moss at Ribblehead.

Visit the highest mainline station in England at Dent.

Stroll through the market town of Appleby.

Wind down at the end of the day in the Scott and Brassey at Carlisle Station.

73 miles of remarkable scenery, engineering and determination - 150 years young and looking forward to the 300th year!
