Good news! Our planned maintenance closure from 12th–15th October has been postponed, which means The Fish Cottage will now be OPEN AS NORMAL all next week!

ONE WEEK TO GO 🔥

The fire is lit, the menu is ready and preparations are underway for our first Fish Over Fire evening at The Fish Cottage.

Join us on Friday 9 October for five courses celebrating dayboat fish, shellfish, smoke and open-fire cooking — from mackerel over the flames to coal-brûléed English custard.

Arrival is from 6pm with an Ember Negroni, followed by dinner at 6:30pm.

£79 per person
Five courses and welcome drink included
Hand-picked wines available to pre-order at £28 per bottle

As the autumn light fades over Sandsend, the fires will be lit.

Join us for an atmospheric evening of seafood cooked over flame, glowing coals and open fire. Arrive from 6pm, take a welcome drink and settle in beneath the canopy or inside The Fish Cottage.

With fire pits burning, festoon lights glowing and our chefs cooking over the flames, the whole place will take on a warmer, wilder atmosphere.

🧽 Cleaner(s) Wanted – The Fish Cottage, Sandsend

We’re looking for one or more reliable cleaners to join our team.

The role:
• Up to 2 hours per day
• 7 days a week (this can be shared between more than one cleaner)
• Cleaning can be carried out anytime from 11:00pm, but must be completed by no later than 10:00am
• Reliability and attention to detail are essential

This role would suit someone looking to fit a few extra hours around another job or family commitments.
