Thank you for the overwhelming support and constructive feedback from our previous posts. It is so appreciated and we want to be able to allow customers to book, when it is clearly so important when deciding whether or not to visit us.

We are looking at our options for setting up an online booking service and currently still deciding on which platform will work best for us. However, in the meantime we ask that you please call us on 07398 656268 during business hours (after 5pm Wednesday to Friday and from 4pm on weekends) if you’d like to make a reservation.

We will be offering tables for booking from tomorrow evening (Sunday 11th January) but for now, we will only be allowing 25% of the restaurant capacity to be bookable, until everyone knows this is our new procedure. It is likely that we will have a lot of customers simply turning up to be seated on a first come first served basis, which is how we have always operated previously, so this way we can introduce the booking option gradually.

The feedback from our most recent social media posts have been favourable when it comes to securing bookings with a deposit, which also means we have some security to ensure customers honour the booking made. With this is mind, we will be kindly asking for a non refundable deposit of £10 per head please, to be deducted from your final bill on the evening.

We really hope this new system works well for our customers and encourages more people to visit us, knowing that a table is guaranteed at a specific time.

Thank you so much to everyone for your supportive comments and kind words.

We’ve seen the comments about taking bookings and although there are several reasons we haven’t done it in the past, we have given it more thought and understand the importance and we think we have a plan that will work as long as people are understanding. Cooked from scratch food with a crew member down, or many other possible issues that could and will come up, will often affect how things run throughout the night. It’s a bit scary but we will give it a go! Parties will need to be on time and no shows will make us have to start taking deposits. Don’t be that party!

Thank you all once again for the love and support and for all the shares we’ve had on our post from yesterday ❤️ and for the big push to help us make this decision!

Over the next few days we will work on how we are going to operate the actual bookings. Online would be ideal, but we will need a few days to get that set up. We will keep you posted here! Thanks again and talk soon!

Happy New Year everyone!

We all know how increasingly hard it’s become to run small businesses and the powers that be seem to make one bad decision after the next, without giving any real thought to the effect this has.

Through our stupidity or just the little hope that things might change, we will continue to try and make ends meet for now. Our prices aren’t cheap, they are pretty much comparable with London prices but what differs is the volume of potential customers that restaurants in major cities have.

As you all know, we make virtually everything from scratch (hence the prices), which is obviously very labour intensive, but something that we will never change. We take pride in what we do and also respect that you the customer, should be able to eat out and get fresh, natural foods and not something that was frozen miles away, months ago and just simply reheated.

Last year, every single month we came up short on wages and had to borrow money to pay our staff. We love what we do but something needs to change for us to be able to survive.

We can’t fix the average household income, but we do recognise that restaurant meals are discretionary when the cost of living rises and with that issue in mind, we will be offering deals to hopefully increase volume, and at least give us a shot at breaking even.

We’ve decided that Bandits is the more affordable of the two restaurants and therefore we’ve scaled down the opening days at FM, and opened Bandits 6 evenings a week as well as every daytime. We are planning some really good specials to where we hope to pack the place out and break even through volume on the otherwise slow nights.
