Happy May Day. My great chum and I headed up to the West Hill at dawn today. So beautiful. We obviously had to bring the Jack in the Green Burger this year: Halloumi or Bean Burger with wild garlic mayo, crisp lettuce, rocket and pumpkin seed pesto and grilled courgette in a homemade green bun.
This weekend only.
We won’t be open on Monday; we’ll partying back on the West Hill. 💚

We’re thinking about reinstating our Full English. Sausage, hash brown, vegan black pudding, scrambled egg or tofu, mushroom, spinach and tomato and toast. Would there be support for this?

Upping the ante a bit this weekend at the cafe. We have some deliciousness going on. Although right now I’m clearing out my baking cupboard so we’ll see how we go! We have date and chocolate bars (vegen and gf) chai carrot cake, oregano and cheese loaf, muhammara (red pepper and walnut dip with wild garlic falafels and flatbread (also vegan) and our sell out wild garlic scones. We also have our friends Elliot and Amelia helping at the weekend who you will see this summer while I’m off doing weddings. Come and say hello! Sun could be shining so should be a good beach day 🤞☀️🩵

It was so lovely to see so many friendly faces last weekend. This week we have: Wild garlic scones with chive and tarragon cream cheese, Double sausage and grilled onion baguette with tomato chilli chutney, The Brilliant Ruben Sandwich, Our Saucy Sandwich, various homemade cakes and pastries. Pretty much everything can be plant based. Gluten free alternatives available too.
We know times are tough so all coffees are still £3 (no plant milk price hike either) and we have kept our food prices as low as possible.
Hope to see more old and new friends this weekend

Hello everyone. We will be open this weekend! It seems like a long while since we were last here. Times have changed a bit. Richard aka is stepping back to concentrate on his photography and my catering business goes from strength to strength. Aside from that I will be opening with the help of our favourite when we can. Around that we will be offering up the cafe for pop ups.Anyway we’ll post with more info soon.

Shamefully late posting about our Burns Night Supper Club. Have been busy with stuff. A massive thank you to the lovely and Trevor for hosting us in their wonderful home. It was a really fun evening and the food was pretty delicious if I say so myself! Please drop us a message if you’d like to be included in the mailing list for future events.
