We’re back with a get to know our chefs and this week it’s Halima! You may remember her from the International Festival of Glass held at the World of Glass, where we served her Somalian Fasulya, it was a huge hit!👏🏻

We asked Halima all about her experience here at Cafe Laziz, what it means to her as well as what makes her happy, among other things 🫶🏻

This series is all about getting to know the faces behind the dishes you all love on a Monday or at events we cater for, we hope you’re enjoying it as much as we are loving making it ☺️

Yesterday was one of our busiest community cafes we have ever had at Cafe Laziz and it was all on our lovely Zena’s first day!

There were bumps in the road due to supplier issues but we overcame them together and delivered over 60 meals in one serving 👏🏻

We had a brilliant team in the kitchen and we couldn’t have done it without their seemingly endless work, thank you to all of our volunteers and to everyone who came to share a meal, you make Mondays our favourite day of the week 🧡

We had with Jane from at .laziz

Jane attended a routine screening which found cell changes.

She had no symptoms.

Going to her screening meant she could have support and treatment early on.
