📖Recipe
1. Go down to Crinnis Beach, Carlyon Bay. (Free parking)
2. Walk down the steps, turn left on the beach and head for the blue and white stripy beach cafe 💙🤍💙
3. Pick up a coffee and a bake from Manor Made Beach Cafe.
4. Go for a walk to the waters edge and just stand still, listen to the sea and enjoy the moment. Put your sunglasses on and feel the warm sun on your skin.
OR
5. Grab a fur lined comfy seat at the alfresco cafe, sit, relax. Enjoy the view.

Instant coffee. No. Bean to cup. No. I can’t. I’m sorry. I know, I know. I didn’t think I had a problem then I get given a s**t cup of coffee and I realise it just makes me sad. My terrible resting bitch face becomes a disgusted bitch face. It’s not good.

So yes. I am a coffee snob. Which means you can expect good coffee from us. Coffee where we work closely with our roastary to make sure you get more than expected. We want you to come back and ask where are beans are from. We want you to love coffee as much as we do. You’re Welcome.

Our week was a tale of two halves; Leah and I were test baking the Cake Tin whilst Megan, Darcey & the team were welcoming you to Manor Made Beach Cafe on Carlyon Bay Beach.

Weeks like this are why we do it. After the circus of the brutal summer a week baking at the Cake Tin and making coffee for you at the Beach Cafe doing what we actually love in equal measure resets everything.

Whilst baking Leah turned to me with a big smile on her face and simply said ‘how lucky are we to get to do this every day?’ Something I sometime forget whilst paying bills, juggling rotas and children and everything else. But she’s right. We are so privileged we get to bake, and create and then share it with you.

Which got me thinking. Do we need to taste test wider? Would you like to be part of a team of ‘exclusive’ taste testers for our new cakes, bakes and coffees sold at the Manor Made Beach Cafe? Weekly update…missing doing these.

What. A. Summer. I veer dramatically from that was the best summer to quite simply, f*ck me that almost broke me.

I never feel I can be fully honest about what summer is actually like as I have chosen this and we need it busy to survive. And I love to have the girls at home more than anything. But wow. The last 10 weeks have tested every single tiny bit of me in ways I didn’t know I could be tested. Physically and mentally.

A lot of the time we thrived and I credit that to my amazing mentor who helped me prepare, and my amazing team who were the best team we have ever created. I smile just thinking about them all. The bits where we didn’t thrive. Well, we survived.

This week has been about stopping and regrouping; planning for the autumn and winter, new menus, time away and very exciting projects. Today we began testing for some of the new projects. It reignited my spark. I am so excited about the coming months.

Think we might have just created something pretty special and new.

I hope you are okay. Like really okay. Know we are always here for coffee and cake and comforting goodness.
