A few weeks ago we were delighted to host the launch of Training For Your Old Lady Body by Elizabeth Davies, who lives just 10 minutes from us. 📖
Elizabeth is an ex barrister who retrained as a personal trainer in 2017 and now focuses on strength training, mobility and helping women build the foundations for a strong, active future.
I’ve only just started reading it, but one lesson has already jumped off the page: “Imperfect action trumps perfect inaction every time.” In other words... just do some kind of activity that is realistic, enjoyable and flexible. Stop waiting for the perfect time, perfect plan or perfect motivation and simply get started.
The book is packed with practical advice, humour and common sense, with lots about strength training, mobility and improving bone density to give ourselves the best chance of staying active, resilient and independent as we get older.
