Quarr Abbey Teashop & Farm Shop Quarr Abbey is home to a small group of Benedictine monks who strive to dedicate their lives to the glory of God.

Quarr Abbey is a working Benedictine Monastery and home to a community of monks who dedicate their life to prayer, contemplation and community life. With free admission and car parking to the grounds and property; whether visiting the church, pilgrim chapel, the teashop and farm shop, the art gallery, monastery shop, visiting the ruins, or simply wandering the grounds to experience the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the monastery, Quarr Abbey offers interest and enjoyment for all to enjoy.

Good afternoon all, tomorrow evening is our food night, this week it’s a Yorkshire pudding, sausage and mixed veg main course followed by sticky toffee pudding, 2 courses for £14.95, what a bargain, you can book this online at: www.quarrabbey.org
Check out our other food events while you’re there, on every week up to December.
We also have our Autumn teas which are on every day from 12-4, this will need 24 hours notice for booking.
Our Christmas shop is now open in the courtyard, so make sure you pop along and have a look.

Good morning all, what a lovely morning it’s turned out to be ☀️
Tonight is our Mexican evening, with chilli and a dessert all for £14.95 per person, and for the first 10 people that book for tonight’s event they will receive 10% off the next food evening.
Next weeks evening is Sausage and veg in a Yorkshire pudding and these evenings lead us all the way up to December.

Good Afternoon from Quarr Abbey,

There are still some spaces left for our Mexican food evening this Thursday, 1st October so why not treat yourself to an evening out with friends and family and join us for some tasty Mexican food.

5.30pm to 7.30pm, 2 courses - £14.95. Booking is essential.

We will be serving homemade chilli served with nachos, sour cream and homemade salsa and guacamole. Vegetarian option available.

Dessert is a homemade toffee apple crumble served with cream or custard.

One incredible day, blessed with over 200 volunteers giving up their time in service and what a difference it has made. A heart felt thank you to all the volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints for their time, energy and care.

Here are just a few pictures, more to follow, you will notice a huge difference in the woodland walk, with new dens that we are sure children are going to enjoy and a hide that offers a great place to spot red squirrels and birds.

The woodland walk will feel different under foot so please take care until the ground has settled.

The path now extends around the pig enclosure which will make visiting much easier not battling mud in the winter. The railings and barn have had a fresh coat of paint for the first time in many years.

We also our sincere thanks to Wightlinkto who made the project possible supporting travel for the volunteers who come from all over the country.

A polite reminder, dogs must be kept on leads at all time including the woodland walk and no campfires or barbecues.

We very much look forward to seeing you soon .

Good morning after 2 years in the planning we are delighted to see the day of the Service Project arrive. Run and organised by The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints taking place at Quarr today Saturday 19/9/2026

Over 200 people coming from many parts of the South East and beyond to complete in one day projects that otherwise we simply could not do.

We are also very grateful to Wightlink Ferries , for giving there time and support in getting all the volunteers to the Island. Without their support this project would not have been possible.

The Squirrel hide and the pigs are just two of the reasons people from across the Community of The Isle of Wight and beyond love coming to Quarr Abbey. These areas form just part of the work being undertaken today, The rebuilding of the Squirrel hide and building a path around the pigs so accessible all year for all.

It does mean the woodland walk will be closed on Saturday 19/9/2026 while the volunteers clear overgrown non-native scrub and give an opportunity for native planting and regeneration of the ecology.

Like wise areas will be restricted around the pig enclosure at times while work is carried on the path.

We look forward to sharing with you the results and will keep you updated on progress.
