From morning coffees to evening wines (it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere) the deli is open serving breakfast from 9-11.30 and lunch from 12-3, plus special monthly evenings including tapas nights, quiz nights and jazz nights!

Big fan girl moment when Joe Wilkinson popped in to the deli for breakfast! They say you should never meet your hero’s 🧔🏻but it was a real pleasure and he was such a lovely guy! 2 bearded legends together 🍳

Have you started the Ryde Carnival window spotting yet? Lots of local business involved, programs available from a number of locations! Spot the different object in our window…one clue, this year it is NOT the Lego man from the last 5 years, he’s been retired 🤣

👀 Who has started our Ryde Carnival Window Spotting Trail?🎉

Have you been out exploring Ryde and spotting the odd items hidden in participating shop windows? 🔍

If not, there's still plenty of time to join in!

Here's how to take part:

1️⃣ Pick up a Ryde Carnival Programme — your Window Spotting entry form is included inside.
2️⃣ Visit the participating shop windows and see if you can spot the odd item hidden in each one.
3️⃣ Complete your entry form and return it to the Department or Ryde Library by 3:00pm on 7th September.

Keep an eye out for the official Window Spotting posters in participating shops and enjoy a fun family adventure around Ryde.

Huge congratulations to the Ryde Saints F.C. Dynamos under 9’s team for getting all the way to the final at the England Beach Soccer tournament a few weeks ago on Appley beach! Runners up to a very tough team! And looking superb in their Pickle & Dill sponsored football kit!

This afternoon we have a lovely book reading by a local author.

We’re delighted to welcome Edmund Matyjaszek to Pickle & Dill for a special reading of his new book, The Reds & The Greys: In Defence of the Isle.
A heartwarming adventure inspired by the Isle of Wight, this charming story follows the island’s much-loved red squirrels as they face an unexpected challenge. Perfect for young nature lovers and families!

Did you know Mr M was a budding author?

This Saturday, Priory School bursar Mr Matyjaszek will be stepping away from school matters and into the world of red squirrels, grey squirrels, herons, seagulls and one rather important schoolboy.

He will be reading from his new book, The Reds & The Greys: In Defence of the Isle, at Pickle & Dill in Ryde.

Set firmly on the Isle of Wight, the eco-fable follows the Island’s red squirrels as they face the arrival of their oldest rivals, the greys, and call upon the Island’s wildlife for help.

The story travels from Wootton and Arreton Down to Mottistone and Brighstone Forest, with plenty of familiar Island references along the way.
