🥵☀️ A huge well done to these absolute heroes… and the rest of the team too! ☀️🥵
While many of us have been enjoying cold drinks in the garden, these lot have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to keep the food coming, the drinks flowing and the service smiling throughout this incredible heatwave 👏❤️
From the chefs cooking over hot ovens and grills 🔥
To the kitchen porters battling steam and mountains of washing up 💨
To the bar and waiting teams constantly on the move between the pub and garden ☀️🍻
Days like these are tough work, and we’re incredibly proud of every single member of the team.
One of the very first things we did when we took over The Knot Inn was invest in a fully electric kitchen, replacing the old gas equipment. It wasn’t the cheapest decision, but it was one we made with the team’s comfort, wellbeing and working environment in mind.
Now don’t get us wrong… when it’s 30°C outside, a kitchen is still a hot place to work! 😂🥵
But investing in modern equipment and creating a better working environment has made a huge difference, and it’s one of those decisions we’re reminded of on days like today.
Looking after our customers is important, but looking after our team is just as important ❤️
So if you’ve enjoyed a meal, a drink or a visit with us over the last few days, spare a thought for the amazing people who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it happen.
