☀️ One last summer Saturday at The Knot! 🍔

Before the uniforms come back out and September arrives, we're having a FREE Family Fun Day & Back to School BBQ!

📅 Saturday 29th August
⏰ 12pm-4pm
🎟️ Completely FREE

We're going properly old-school with the games. Nothing fancy, nothing that needs an instruction manual… just daft, simple fun that children, parents, grandparents and competitive grown-ups can all get involved with. 😂

We've even got teabag throwing on the list. Yes, really. ☕🎯

🔥 The BBQ will be fired up with food available throughout the afternoon
🍺 The bar will be open
🌳 Hopefully we'll all be enjoying the garden
⛺ If the weather lets us down, we'll move the fun into our Secret Garden Tipi

And you definitely don't need children to come along! Pop in for a drink, grab something from the BBQ, meet some friends or sit back and enjoy watching everyone else make a fool of themselves.

No tickets. No entry fee. Just turn up and join us.

A huge thank you to our next-door neighbours, Julie and Chris, for kindly donating a lovely batch of home-grown cucumbers! 🥒💚

We love using local produce at The Knot Inn, but this takes food miles down to food metres. They came straight over the fence and into our kitchen, although not before the chefs had a quick cucumber sword fight, of course! ⚔️😂

They’ve now been prepped and are already making their way onto today’s menu. Fresh, local and generously donated by our neighbours. You really can’t get much better than that!

Thanks again, Julie and Chris. We promise the chefs behaved themselves eventually… 👨‍🍳🥒

🚗🗺️ What. A. Night! 🗺️🚗

We’re still smiling after Monday night’s Car Treasure Hunt! Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fantastic evening.

We were absolutely blown away by the support, with a record-breaking 27 cars taking part! 🎉

Teams set off with no idea where they were heading, winding their way through Swythamley, Wincle and Sutton, keeping their eyes peeled for clues, solving cryptic questions and collecting bonus items along the way. 👀🌿

🏆 A huge congratulations to our overall winners, The Scrambled Legs! Not only did they achieve an incredible score, they also stole the show with their hilarious video in the grit bin… trust us, you’ll want to watch that one! 😂👏

Back at The Knot, the evening didn’t slow down! We served more than 88 diners in just one hour, so a massive well done to our brilliant team for keeping everything running smoothly and getting everyone fed as quickly as possible. 👏🍔🍻

❤️ Thanks to your generosity, and everyone who bought raffle tickets, we’re delighted to say we raised an incredible £385! This will be shared between St Lawrence Church Rushton Spencer and Friends of Rushton CE First School.

This has become one of our favourite annual events, and after another brilliant turnout, we can’t wait to do it all again. Keep your eyes peeled for next year’s Car Treasure Hunt, it’s one you won’t want to miss! 🚗🗺️✨

Never done a car treasure hunt before? It's easy! You'll be given a route to follow along with a list of clues to solve as you go. Collect a few bonus items along the way and see if your team can finish with the highest score. It's all about having fun, working together and enjoying our beautiful local countryside.

🍔 Feeling hungry? Join us before you set off or when you return for food and a well-earned drink. Tea sorted either way!

Whether you're super competitive or just fancy a fun evening out with family or friends, we'd love you to come along and give it a try. No experience needed, just a car, a team and a sense of adventure! 🚙✨

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been in and enjoyed this weekend’s specials. You’ve completely sold them out! 👏❤️

But don’t worry… Sunday is far from over.

Our chefs are busy preparing another incredible service, with our famous Sunday roasts being served from 12pm-7pm. 🍽️

Every week, our kitchen team gets creative, making the most of fantastic seasonal ingredients and putting together a selection of dishes that won’t be around for long.

This weekend’s line-up is no exception… and if these three are pointing at the specials board, we’d probably take their advice! 😉👇

There’s always something exciting happening behind the kitchen doors at The Knot Inn, and today’s creation has had the whole pub smelling absolutely incredible… 🤤

🥓 Homemade crackling-topped sausage rolls.

Flaky, golden pastry…
Perfectly seasoned sausage meat…
Finished with the ultimate topping… crispy crackling! ✨

The sort of smell that has the front of house team suddenly finding lots of reasons to walk through the kitchen… purely for quality control purposes, of course! 😂

It’s this creativity and passion that we love to see from our chefs. They’re constantly experimenting, developing new ideas and creating homemade treats for you to enjoy.
