Morning all. I have a plan to return to Café 16:15 next Monday the 12th. Not to open, but to sort and prep the menu for the week, hopefully opening from the Tuesday.
The menu may look a little different, as I am under orders to physically do less, for the short term, whilst my lungs and heart continue to strengthen. But it will still be just as awesome as ever.
I have had so many offers to help from folk who want to join our volunteer army at the café, so if you are one of those, and are free on Monday at all, between 10:00 and 2:00 please drop in and let's get more community into your community café.

Huge thanks as well to everyone that has supported through the fundraiser, to help cover our costs whilst I get over this man flu. It's all been pretty amazing and overwhelming.

Café 16:15 will remain closed for at least another week whilst I continue recovery at home. I have had many offers of help and support getting up and running again, from customers and volunteers, which is amazing, and has gone way beyond what I could ever have expected, so once I have a plan in place i will start looking at how that might work out.
Also a huge thank-you to everyone who has been donating to the Just Giving link, to help keep the bills paid whilst the doors are closed.
The level of support I have recieved from you all has been overwhelming.

Morning all, unfortunately we still wont be able to open anytime soon, but we will need your help to stay open. Closed doors wont pay the bills, and being a fully voluntary charity and community cafe, we have little or no other funding than ourselves. So please, if you are able, can you share this link to our Just Giving, and maybe help us through this next month.

Thank you

Morning all, so it would seem things are a little more serious health wise than I thought they were, and I could be laid up, taking it easy, in the comfort of this hospital bed for the next week. Which unfortunately means I wont be opening the cafe for a little while.

Hi all, just a little advance notice that I may not be open tomorrow as planned, am currently holed up at Northampton General Hospital, with some breathing issues and a potential blood clot in my heart. But do watch this space, as I have a habit of bouncing back 😁

Just a reminder that we will not be open for breakfast today, as am away moving my son into university.

Back for Monday.

25/09/2026

As its my son's last day before leaving home for university, I have decided to spend that day at home. Please remember, we are not open this weekend for breakfast, for the same reason, but will be back on Monday.

Have a great weekend.

Gluten/dairy free garlic and cheese loaf, just one of the items from our free-from range baked here at Café 16:15.
From mains to quiche, salads to cakes, we aim to ensure that those with food intolerances can enjoy more than just a jacket spud 🥔.

We have said goodbye to many of those for whom the streets were home, and I have had the privilege of officiating funerals and memorials. But George was without a doubt, the most popular street sleeper I have ever known, and being able to arrange his final farewell was indeed a privilege.
