Thank you for your patience while we had to close areas of the forest. We’ve finished removing the dead trees that were at greater risk of being blown over around the main visitor centre, and our car parks and trails are all now open as normal.

While forests play a vital role in tackling climate change, they're also increasingly feeling its effects. This has been one example of the challenges climate change is creating for forests across England, and why we're working to make our forests more resilient for the future.

Looking for activity providers! 🌲

We're looking to build a regular programme of wellbeing, fitness and creative activities in our new woodland shelter in Pine Needle Glade.

Do you run, or know someone who runs, any of the following?

🧘 Yoga
💪 Pilates
🏃 Outdoor fitness or bootcamps
☯️ Tai Chi
🌿 Meditation or forest bathing
👶 Parent and baby fitness sessions
💜 Women's wellbeing groups
🤝 Men's wellbeing groups
🎨 Outdoor craft groups
🪵 Nature-inspired arts such as willow weaving, wood carving, painting and more

It’s UK Fungus Day 🍄🍄‍🟫

An annual celebration of our fungal worlds and what a display we’ve been seeing across our patch this autumn 🍂
