🩷 On Friday the 18th of September, the Village all got to say their Final Farewell to 𝓚𝓲𝓻𝓼𝓽𝔂 '𝓚𝓲𝓻𝓼𝓽' 𝓜𝓪𝔂 𝓐𝓵𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓗𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓸𝓷 🩷🕊
To be a part of her Final Journey was unbelievably emotional and yet incredibly powerful 🫶
Her family have shown a strength and resilience that has forever left a mark on a lot of people.
To lose Kirsty so young and soo soon has been one of the hardest things to watch, you feel useless because you cannot turn the clock back and change the outcome but what we were able to do was to make sure she had the most perfect and beautiful day.
The out pouring of Love to the Houghton Family on the build up to the day, including and what will be long after has a heavy weight to it. It comes from the heart and with meaning. An entire community showing support during the darkest of times.
I was asked if I could do a video ( something they know i like to do ), something that Joanne and the family could look back on. I was honoured and of course I said yes, but I won't lie I felt nervous at the same time. This would be something i have never done before, capturing Final Goodbyes, peoples raw emotions and the beatifulness of a life lived. So of course i didn't want to get it wrong.
Kirsty's Final Journey in this life was precious and Joanne has giving me her blessing so now I can share the day with you all.
A Huge Thank You to The Rugby Funeral Home team. On behalf of the family and ourselves you took care of Kirsty when she was most vulnerable. Showed her Kindness, Respect and Love and supported the Family from day one. The service was truly beautiful and respectful and carried out with such dignity and grace.
One we will all cherish and remember. Thank you 🤍
Also a special thank you to Whiteborough Carriages. The most beautiful horse-drawn carriage for Kirsty's final journey. Not a dry eye when the Horses came around the corner and pulled up outside the house.
Kirsty was carried to her final resting place in classic tradition 🤍 simply beautiful 🐴🩷
The whole day was a huge Team effort. Thank you to Danielle and Katie. With your help the day was fit for a Princess, everything from the small details to the big you were there throughout.
Our Bar Team and Brett the Chef, a huge huge thank you. Everyone has passed there thank you's on to say that everyone was amazing and that the drinks kept flowing and the food kept coming so Welldone, you worked hard and should be proud 👏
Joanne your family bond is definitely something to be aspired to. You have held each other up and shown a strength that I will never see in my lifetime again. You all did her proud and gave Kirsty the most beautiful send off. Now it's your time to grieve, cry, remember, talk to each other about times shared but above all, be there for each other. Our support is always is here, it did not stop the day Kirsty was laid to rest 🫶
Our Community is the heartbeat of all of us, if one is down we are all there to pick you back up ❤️
And lastly, Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the day and trusting us to make the day a true Celebration of Kirsty's life.
This felt very personal for us, you are our family and we feel very honoured to have been able to help guide you through the toughest journey. We all Love you Xx
