Hi all,

Thank you for your patience the last month while we have got to grips taking over at Guests. It’s been lovely to meet customers new and old. 🫖 🍰

We will be closed the next two weeks to allow us to focus on renovating the cafe (nobody likes the sound of sawing, drilling and hammering while enjoying their cake & cuppa). 🪚🪛🔨

Thank you for bearing with us - exciting things are ahead!

Well, where to start……..
Guests tearoom and coffee shop has been my baby, I’ve loved it… all of it even the hard, sad and bad bits of it but Saturday the 10th of July is my last day at Guest’s. I’m leaving it with you lovelies💕I feel it is time to move on to the next chapter of my life so I have sold it to a fabulous couple, Jessica and Scott, who will move it onto its next stages. Karen and Gemma will still be there to continue welcoming and looking after you and Guests will continue, in its present format for now, until they make it their own. Please could I ask you to be as supportive of them as you have me. You have been amazing!! It was always better than I ever hoped and imagined and that’s down to all YOU’RE custom, care and dare I say it friendship. It has always been my pleasure to welcome you feed you and chit chat to you. The banter and laughs have brightened my day and I hope yours.
There will I be tears for me during my last week and no doubt as I hand the keys over on the Saturday evening but it is, for me, the right time to move on.
I want to say and I mean it when I say it thank you to you for having me… it’s been fabulous darlings!!! Cheers to you all!!!! Much love, Jane xx

Good morning all, just a quick update on the vacancy we have recently advertised.

Due the the amount of interest we have received we are no longer inviting applications for the position we need to fill.

We are looking for a lovely somebody to join our small team. The set hours are Friday and Saturday 9-3. However must be fully flexible for holiday cover etc. The ideal candidate will be hospitality experienced with great customer facing skills. Barista trained would be ideal but full training will be given to the right candidate…. as we are a friendly fun bunch we are not a corporate so personality is key. DM if interested. Ta, Jane.

Hello you lovely people!!!!💕 I’m sure Boris tonight will confirm we can move in to step 3 so…….the countdown begins!💃💃😎 We will be opening on Tuesday the 18th of May at 9am …..Wuhoo!!!!! We can’t wait to see you all. We’ve missed you!!!!
Not much will have changed except a few bits here and there so still the same lovingly home cooked goodies, same banter and same happy positive energy. One thing tho will change …. Shaun will no longer be with us on a regular basis, he’s moving on to pastures new so can’t help us out anymore. We will miss him very much( like we miss our Gemma 💕 ) but I’m sure he’ll be around now and again. We wish him all the very best, it goes without saying we thank him from the bottom of our hearts💕for all his help and we are as sure as eggs are eggs he’ll be an amazing asset to the business he his moving to. His last day helping us will be Tuesday the 18th if you want to come and say goodbye.
So……. See ya a week on Tuesday!!

Good morning all, we hope you are all well, safe, coping and a little festive if we dare say that.
We wanted to let you know, after much deliberation we will remain closed now until the new year. As much as we would love to open there are a number of hurdles and time constraints for us which would make it very challenging to say the least.
We will however, as said, be open in January 2021 raring to go with all the bonkersness that is Guests 😊🤣
We want to make it clear that we appreciate each and every one of you and you’re continued support without you Guests is not possible. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.💕💞
It just remains to say, take care, stay safe , be kind to each other and enjoy every moment you can and if you can, have fun!!!

Tier 3. So we will remain closed for now. Hopefully on the 16th there will be better news and we can reopen just before Xmas. It will be so nice to see you all again and a lovely reminder that you are the reason we do this so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you’re support we really do appreciate it.
