But summer is officially over, the evenings are getting darker, and that can only mean one thing…

Christmas is coming to The Mill!

From 23rd November to 23rd December, we’ll be serving up our festive Christmas menu — perfect for getting together with friends, family or colleagues and making a proper occasion of it.

Think Roast Bromham Squash, Prawn & Crab Cocktail, Wiltshire Venison Carpaccio, House Smoked Mackerel Parfait… followed by festive favourites including Stuffed Norfolk Turkey with Pigs in Blankets, Duck, Pork Belly, Trout en Croute and a delicious Salt Baked Celeriac option. And of course, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without mince pies, tea & coffee to finish.

A few things to know:

• Available for parties of 6 people or more
• Pre-order required
• The Christmas menu is a set menu for the whole party — everyone in the group must choose from the Christmas menu, so unfortunately we can’t mix and match with the main menu.
• We’ll still have some festive specials on our main menu throughout the season.

So, whether you’re planning the annual Christmas get-together, a work do, or simply an excuse to eat, drink and be merry… now’s the time to get your group together.

SUMMER FAREWELL PARTY AT THE MILL! 🎉

Tomorrow, Monday 31st August from midday, we’re saying goodbye to summer in style and the sun is back out too! ☀️☀️

We’ve got a brilliant day lined up for the whole family, including:

Live music – two fantastic singers performing throughout the afternoon. Harrison James 2pm-4pm and Lauren Helyar is starting later on.

Citroën Pizza Van – serving up delicious pizzas
�Firepit menu – tasty favourites cooked over the fire
�Ice cream trike – because it wouldn’t be summer without ice cream!
�Outdoor bar – drinks in the sunshine
�Garden games – plenty of fun to be had on the island
�Petting zoo – perfect for the little ones!

SUNDAY ROASTS ARE BACK — AND BETTER THAN EVER.

The traditional Sunday roast has officially returned to The Mill… and Chef Jamie is taking things up a notch.

Expect proper, generous, beautifully cooked roasts, including:

Beef — roast sirloin & slow-cooked shin of beef�Pork — roasted loin & slow-cooked belly
�Castlemead chicken
�Crispy aubergine — because Sundays are for everyone

And, of course, no roast is complete without the essentials: crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, proper Yorkies and plenty of gravy.

Last week’s seasonal selection included grilled hispi, carrot, roast potatoes and red cabbage — and we’re pretty sure Chef Jamie has something just as delicious lined up for tomorrow. Or maybe there’ll be a few favourites making a return…

So gather your favourite people, loosen the belt a notch and let us do Sunday properly.

As summer begins to draw to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what a brilliant season it’s been at The Mill.

Our allotment has been looking beautiful all summer, while also working incredibly hard behind the scenes — providing fresh, homegrown produce that’s made its way onto the menu throughout the season.

From growing and harvesting to cooking and serving, it’s been a real joy to see the allotment play such an important part in what we do.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make it happen. We’re already looking forward to seeing what next year brings — but for now, we’ll be making the most of these last days of summer.
